- The 5025 / 5025B is merely a slightly upgraded 5010 or 5010B. Technically and mechanically, the devices are virtually identical.
- The 5025 differs from the "smaller" models by:
- - a switchable zero stop function of the totalizer.
- - peak level indicator LEDs for peak value display
- - separate controls for mic L + R and line L + R (smaller, coaxial controls) with a master level control
- - Slightly lower synchronization fluctuations (0.11 % compared to 0.12 % for the 5010)
- The 'B' and 'non-B' models differ not only in the virtually non-functional hex screws in the front panel, but mainly in width. "B" models are 416mm wide to fit Marantz separate tuners/amplifiers, and "non-B" models are 440mm wide to fit receivers.
- These were screws that were once intended to mount the unit chassis (without the lid) in an EIA rack. The Marantz units had -not quite coincidentally- a width (440 mm front outside, 400 mm chassis) that was compatible with certain EIA 19 inch audio racks. These rack screws were then omitted from the B models.
