Remarks[edit]
- Other models in the same series:
- Marantz 1820
- Marantz 5010
- Marantz 5010B
- Marantz 5025
- Marantz 5025B
- Marantz 5030
- 1820 (and Mk.II)
- The 5010B is technically identical to the 5010. They differ in width. While the 5010 has a width of 400mm to fit the receivers, the 5010B has a width of only 416mm to fit the single components integrated amplifier, preamplifier and power amplifier. Another difference is the lack of hexagonal screws in the front, which should give the 5010 the same 'look' as the receivers. On the 5010, they are for the RHA-1 'rack handles', but are otherwise functionless. For a rack mount of the 5010B the thicker "Rack Handles" RHA-2 with adapter brackets are needed.
- The 5025 has three controls: Mic L + R / Line L + R (two smaller coaxial knobs, left and center) and Master Level (larger knob, right). In addition, the 5025 has Peak Level Indicator LEDs. Mechanically and technically it is identical to the 5010 and 5010B.
The tape counter of the 5025 has a memory function (zero stop - additional switch below the counter).
- The 1820 / 1820 Mk.II is a parallel model of the 5010, having smaller VU meters, flat angular drive buttons and a darker colored front. However, the outer frame of the front is aluminium coloured. Thus it fits for example to the receiver MR-215.
