The aluminium tube of the yellow MC, set with a diamond in Ortofon's tried-and-tested 'Fine Line' cut, directs the vibrations to an armature whose coils carry high-purity copper wire. Compared to the Blue, the Bronze's performance exudes a cultured solidity. The music bubbles even more fluidly, the upper registers, for all their airy presence, are more unobtrusive, voices are smoother, more luminous and the spectrum is opened up further into the depths than with the Blue. In baroque concerts, for example, the Bronze creates a gossamer grace and sparkling aura that the Blue lacks, and also offers the more intense colours.
