• The TASCAM M-06 audio mixer is a model of simplicity and flexibility. Because it's so simple and straightforward, it's also easy to use, so you can enjoy your music more. Since it is so flexible, it can be used in a wide range of applications. For the musician, it is ideal for use as a keyboard submixer and is very handy when used in combination with a mixer/recorder such as the TASCAM Ministudio or PORTA Studio. It can also be used as the main mixer for a four-track tape machine. On the other hand, the M-06 can be used equally well as a small PA or disco mixer.
• In general, it can be said that the M-06 can be considered as an ideal tool for the realization of your ideas and creative music making.

• Applications:
• The TASCAM M-06 has been specifically designed for flexibility and consequently can be used in a variety of applications, either as a "main mixer" or as a "submixer". The following application examples present just a few of the possible uses of the M-06.

1. as keyboard submixer and system extension Up to 8 mono instruments can be plugged into the M- 06: 6 to the input channels and 2 to the EFFect ReTurNs. Effects can be added by assigning the desired channels to EFF OUT and feeding the processed signal back to EFF RTN.

2. four-track recording The M-06 has four PGM output jacks (RCA/ RCA) to which a 4-track recorder, such as TASCAM 234, can be plugged. The line inputs of the M-06 can be used as tape returns.

• Mixing down turntables or other music program sources for disc jockeys is easy. With a small change, an effects signal can be played out before the channel fader, allowing pre-listening. Additional turntable drives can also be connected to channels 1 through 4; see below for details.

3. as a PA mixer The M-06 is ideal for smaller live applications. Up to 6 live sources can be connected to the MIC inputs and effects can be applied. Music sources with pre-recorded music such as turntables, tape decks, etc. can be connected to the line and phono inputs.

4. coupling of two M-06 By coupling two M-06, a total of 12 inputs are available. The effect system of the M-06 is also fully functional. The necessary connections are shown in the illustration.
