Reviews[edit]
- According to Heimkino magazine, the Kenwood KR-V 990 D is the first Dolby Digital(AC-3) capable device to hit the consumer market. It has a coaxial digital input. The device came with and without RDS on the market, whereby a device without RDS usually has problems with the decoding of Dolby Digital(AC-3) over a normal DVD player. Here one can let exchange the circuit board with Kenwood for approx. 100€, so that this Dolby digital becomes capable and/or it recognizes the signal correctly.
It is also the winner of the coveted EISA Award 1996.
