The Pioneer deck CT-W851R with Super Auto BLE is among the best units of this dual-tape deck era. Of course, since the CT-W851R is a dual tape deck, with two drives each with 2-tone heads and Auto Reverse installed, you can't expect any rear tape control when recording. But with the other features, that's just about enough to get over. Among other things, separate Dolby© components are built in, which means that you could theoretically also copy from Dolby© C to Dolby© B. The Super Auto BLE (Bias/Level/EQ) calibration system developed by Pioneer works top and always reliably.
