* Previous model:
* Das Gerät klingt hervorragend und ist sehr Leistungsstark. Leider hat Pioneer auch in dieser Preisklasse alle Schalter und Potis des Typs Stauboffen eingebaut, was sich nach ein paar Jahren durch kratzen oder Tonaussetzern bemerkbar macht.
+
* [[Pioneer A-701 R]]

* In der Praxis zeigte das Gerät eine deutlich höhere Leistung. Laut einem Test der Zeitschrift Audio waren es Ausgangsleistungen von 105 Watt an 8 Ohm und 175 W an 4 Ohm. Auch meine ich zu wissen, dass in diesem Test außerdem 229 Watt an 2 Ohm gemessen wurden. Da eine 2Ohm-Angabe für die Sinusleistung aber nicht im Manual stand, würde ich diese Angabe mit Vorsicht genießen.

* Laut technischer Unterlagen bis 1 Ohm laststabil, aber ohne Leistungsangabe (bis zu 300 Watt?).

* Pioneer A 702 R-G (G steht für Satingold): dieses Gerät ist sehr selten, häufiger ist der Schwarze anzutreffen. Er ist äusserlich baugleich mit dem A 602 R, im Innern ist er durch eine wesentlich aufwendigere Endstufe zu erkennen. Größerer Trafo, 8 Transistoren am schwarzen Kühlkörper, 18.000er Elkos. Er ist der bislang stärkste und grösste fernbedienbare Pioneer Vollverstärker den ich kenne. Nicht zu vergleichen mit dem A 701 R oder A 705 R, welche nicht so aufwendig sind. Der im Alter oft mit Kontaktschwierigkeiten gesegnete Eingangswähler, lässt sich durch zerlegen und reinigen reparieren.

Reviews[edit]

  • The device sounds excellent and is very powerful. Unfortunately, Pioneer has also built in this price range all switches and pots of the type Stauboffen, which is noticeable after a few years by scratching or sound dropouts.
  • In practice, the device showed a much higher performance. According to a test of the magazine Audio it was output powers of 105 watts at 8 ohms and 175 watts at 4 ohms. Also, I think I know that this test also measured 229 watts into 2 ohms. Since a 2Ohm specification for the sine wave power was not in the manual, I would take this information with caution.

According to technical documents up to 1 Ohm load stable, but without power specification (up to 300 watts?).

Pioneer A 702 R-G (G stands for Satingold): this unit is very rare, the black one is more common. Externally it is identical to the A 602 R, but inside it has a much more sophisticated power amplifier. Bigger transformer, 8 transistors on the black heat sink, 18.000 electrolytic capacitors. It is the most powerful and largest remote Pioneer integrated amp I know of to date. Not to be compared with the A 701 R or A 705 R, which are not as elaborate. The input selector, often blessed with contact difficulties with age, can be repaired by disassembly and cleaning.
