Magnat was founded in 1973 in Cologne. After several takeovers, the production of the high-quality and elaborate Ribbon technology was unfortunately discontinued around 1990, nowadays Magnat is owned by "VOXX International". Since then Magnat is unfortunately no longer Magnat. The American influence did nothing good for the quality. A real pity!. But you should not forget that VOXX International also owns Klipsch, which is more in the premium segment.
