Special Features
- Bias fine adjustment by sliding potentiometer on the rear panel.
- DYNEQ circuit (Dynamic Equalization; Tandberg Audio patent) for improved high-frequency excursion of the tape. Avoidance of band saturation in the high frequency range.
- Play Trim circuit (NAD/Dolby Laboratories development) to compensate for high frequency playback errors caused by tape saturation, incorrect bias setting, equalization differences, or head azimuth. These errors cause the Dolby noise reduction to not work properly, resulting in muffled sound. The Play-Trim circuit helps to ensure correct playback in this case. On the front panel there is a rotary potentiometer for the Play Trim circuit (range ± 5).
