Kurzbeschreibung
Hier wird versucht, die legendären Kassettendecks aller Zeiten aufzulisten. Z.B. Nakamichi DRAGON, Revox B 215 und Pioneer CT-95.
Einschränkung
- Bitte nicht mehr als maximal drei Top Kassettendecks pro Hersteller.
- Elcaset Kassettendecks sind erlaubt.

Gleichlaufschwankung in WRMS
Professionelle Kassettendecks konnten Gleichlaufschwankungen um 0,02% erreichen, was als nicht mehr hörbar bezeichnet wurde.
Consumer-Kassettendecks erreichten in etwa Werte von 0,08% WRMS, was in manchen Situationen noch hörbar ist.
Echte High-End-Decks schafften es, näher an die 0,02% Marke zu kommen und manche, wie das Dragon, sogar etwas darunter.

- GF = nahezu verschleißfreie Glasferrit-Tonköpfe (Akai)
- S&F = Sendust & Ferrite (harman/kardon, Sony)
- SD = Sendust (Sony, Yamaha)
- LA = Laser Amorphous (Sony)
- AC = Amorphous Cobalt - bestehend aus 14 Schichten (TEAC)
- F = Ferrit Kopf - Doppelspalt (Yamaha)
- HP = Hard Permalloy Kopf (Yamaha)
