Technical data
Servicing notes
Uses 180w~ at idle (5min), 200-220w music listening low power and around 650-700w at max load, incredibly inefficient design. 25mV idle current needs to be set at both amps at the same time as when one amp is turned up you get voltage drop from the high power draw causing less mV on the other channel. Two mutlimeters needed. Outside pins for testing. (normal for transformers to hum while on due to high power draw)
Very awkward to repair, amp board needs all transistors screws/plates off before access, limited cable length as well.
The two main mosfets, 2SJ216 and 2SK1303 are critical to be the same model, with other mosfets you can't get idle current correct.
Check leds are all on, if any off, it will blow up. Check with thermal camera is all ok once on as it has high power draw anyway.
Any failed part in the main power amp stage causing it to blow up.
RCA/speaker connections are not chassis ground, be careful with scope, multiple grounds, RCA/speaker ground to chassis is about 100ohm on mine
If has weird distortion on output, the bias is wrong. set idle current to 25mV outside pins.
Only a few made, my one was number 93
