- Sharp ATRAC technology was used in the sister model Kenwood DM-3090, among others. Generally, Kenwood and Denon, as well as Onkyo, sourced the technology from Sharp, not Sony. Sharp's ATRAC is somewhat different from that of inventor Sony, the numbers (ATRAC 4.5 etc. are not directly comparable.
