The Yamaha CT-800 is characterized by a clear voluminous sound and first-class workmanship. Compared to many tuners from this era, it tends to be underrated. Its metrological shortcoming is its low selectivity, which does not have a negative effect when used on a cable. However, its sonic qualities are extraordinarily good, and are in the top class range. (Comparable with its big brother CT - 7000) Most of the units delivered in Germany have a slight deviation of the scale display (0.8 MHz), this can be easily corrected by loosening the drive on the variable capacitor.
This tuner from the seventies is offered rather rarely on the net and mostly with considerable traces of use.
