Remarks[edit]

The Unison Research Simply Two has a deliberately simple Class A circuit, with only one EL-34 power tube per channel, outputting around 7 watts. Actually not much you should think, however its moderate volume sounds so good that many music enthusiasts wondered if more power could even hurt sonically. The basic circuitry is based on a double triode and the EL 34 working with full quiescent current. The Simply Two doesn't lack fine details either. By rearranging the conductor paths from 35 to 105 microns, the signal paths have been shortened and there is less channel crosstalk. The in-house transformers and transformers as well as the chokes got new iron plates. This allows for a smoother characteristic curve. Furthermore, as a little bonus, Unison uses highly selected Sovtek versions for the two EL 34s in the Simply Two.

The Simply Two is characterized by extremely natural timbres. It offers wonderful vocal clarity and hyper-accurate timing in your own living room.
