- Housing material: metal
- Special microphone for the devices Uher 4000 Report, Uher 4200 Report Stereo as well as Uher 4400 Report Stereo with start/stop switch. Especially suitable as a report microphone.
- The M/S slide switch with the positions "M" and "S" is missing on the models with the additional designation "A", e.g. "M517 A".
- Allegedly the models M516 - M517 - M518 are technically identical! The three different model numbers indicate the different circuits and the different plugs, which are necessary for the different Uher tape recorders, so that the remote control of the pause button and music-voice switching remain transferable.
