Reports[edit]

Weakness is the MN6631A ICs - no longer available and sensitive to input pulses. Responsible for audio input switching. Owners often report short circuits in the ICs when active RCA connections are disconnected or plugged during operation. This is generally not recommended anyway. The ICs in question are numbered 301 to 305 in the service manual. Symptom: Device starts, input switching does not work, input selector LEDs dark and fuse in the 18 (23) volt supply area blows immediately.
