"The Technics SL-1210MK5 doesn't promise anything it can't deliver. A robust construction that, according to numerous reviews, will provide many years of faithful and reliable service. Probably rightly, 1210s have a reputation for being indestructible. Diseases of the earlier versions, such as the defective needle light or the susceptible tonearm cable, have been improved and renewed. Also the Brake Speed Control as well as the possibility to adjust the pitch control without engaging it stand out positively. The missing functions such as the line output, which digital enthusiasts in particular will miss, can't really diminish the merits..."
