If here templates for DVD-SACD-PLayer etc, so not only older devices are made, then it would surely also make sense to make a template specifically for multi-channel AV receivers, since these are now extremely different from stereo receivers and thus with the template of these can not be inserted properly. Even if you can read most of the technical data of the current devices on the manufacturer's pages, I think that this is still useful to insert these devices, because especially such information that can be found in a few brochures (adjustable crossover frequencies, for example) would then be readable here.

How do you think about it?

Text module not template conform

The text module "not template compliant" is in my opinion not (anymore) useful. Either an article is (essentially) found to be good, or it just needs some Work. It doesn't matter if the article conforms to the template. Furthermore, excessive use of the templates makes the articles sterile and boring. The templates are, after all, only meant to be an initial starting point. More individuality might not hurt. Shall we dare? Markus

My opinion: At least the basic data should be the same so that you have a quick overview and everything is where you are looking for it. Dimensions, year of manufacture, price etc. should be in a standard format. In addition, this should be a kind of table book, there is also everything built the same.

Certain standards are certainly necessary, I agree with you 100%. Whether this is or should be a kind of table book is a moot point - it would be great if people would visit the wiki for interesting, passionate product descriptions with a personal touch! I guess it's a balancing act between overview and individual freedom of design. As I said, I'm not talking about the abolition of templates, only the text module not template-compliant seemed to me to be out of place in many articles - the articles were clearly arranged and worked out with a lot of attention to detail, but did not correspond to the template. A fitting into a template would be at least with such articles in my opinion unnecessary or a deterioration. Therefore the suggestion to use only the text module Braucht Arbeit in the future. Markus

Well, I'm also in favor of keeping the text module "not template-compliant": the systematic arrangement of the data facilitates the overview and the comparison! "Interesting, passionate product descriptions with a personal touch" can then be added in the sub-item "Remarks". If in individual cases the label "not template conform" seems to be inappropriate, this can be discussed in the discussion page and the text module can be removed. Best regards Martin

In the page "product categories" and in the device database there are the categories

• Microphones
• Beamers
• Blu-ray Disc Player
• DVD Recorder
• Video Recorder

for which no templates exist!

Shouldn't we create some?

Power supply details

I think it would make sense to add the item "Power supply" (preferably before the item "Power consumption"?) in the section "Data / General".
