Except for the scratchy Masterpotis and the title search mechanism, Idler ?? at the 75 er, the devices are still top after almost 30ig years. But Yamaha has shown more skill with their playback heads and thanks to Play Trim, the recordings e.g. from a GX 75II sound by far better on all!!!Yamahas with Play Trim - so that can not only be due to the "glassy heads"!!!? Real steam is on the tapes. HW
