Company profile

English manufacturer of loudspeakers, including those for studio use; founded in the 1960s by Spencer and Dorothy Hughes. Spencer Hughes had been involved in the development of monitor loudspeakers at the BBC. The current head of development at Spendor began as Hughes' assistant in 1975.

Since 2000 owned by Philip Swift (loudspeaker developer; until 1998 Audiolab (co-founded by him)).
