It is the optimal copying station from CD to Minidisc. The device has MDLP, so it can record in SP standdard play), LP2 (2x longplay) and in LP4 (4x longplay).
In LP4 you can fit 4 times as much music on a minidisc as in normal SP mode. Furthermore, the unit can copy a CD to an MD at up to 4x speed.
And if the CD is provided with CD-Text (shown in the display), the names of the music titles are copied at the same time. So you save the annoying naming of the titles on the MD.
