With the Sony MXD-D4 it concerns a CD/MD copy station of the extra class with a really extensive equipment. The best features are the possibility of 4x dubbing speed and the automatic transfer of the CD text, as far as it is present on the CD to be dubbed. Thus, it takes less than 20 minutes to dub a normal CD and the text is transferred at the same time.
I won't write much about the advantages of the MD with its extensive editing possibilities, since these should be well known. Another advantage of the device is the MDLP function, which allows longplay recordings. Here the recording time of a 60min. MD is increased in LP2 mode to 120min. and in LP4 mode to 240min.
The device also offers an analogue and digital input for recording additional sources.
