- Sharp's proprietary dual-sided playback system with two tangential tonearms and microprocessor control eliminates the need to flip the record and allows playback to begin on the first or second side of the record, as well as automatic repeat of one or both sides of the record.

- Tangential tonearm guidance allows - especially at low frequencies - scanning with lowest distortion, as the tonearms move over the record at the same angle as the cutting stylus during the production of the record lacquer foil.

- APMS (Automatic Programmable Music Search), allows pre-programming of a maximum of 14 music tracks (7 per record side) in any order; graphic display of the played record side and the numbers of the selected tracks in different colors

- APSS (Automatic Program Search System) for skipping or repeating certain tracks.

- Automatic recognition of the disc diameter and adjustment of the speed of rotation

- Microprocessor-controlled control via keypad

- Automatic play and repeat for both sides of the disk

- Easy-to-understand display of the respective position of the pick-up (10 LEDs per record side)

- Graphic displays for APMS programming (7 LEDs per record side), for the play or repeat function for both record sides and for the record side being played (two-colour)
