Special Features

The HD 414 came in the course of its decades-long construction time in different versions on the market: while the first models were produced in different shades of gray and had 2kOhm impedance, later construction stages were black and had 400 or last 50 ohms. The HD 414 was (and perhaps still is?) the most manufactured and sold hi-fi device of all time, with around 2 million units.

The HD 414 has an unusually high impedance of 2 kOhm per system. The HD 414 is the first open headphone in the world.
