- With the SC 1800 S, a variant was produced with modified lettering, higher feet, strap carrying handle on the right side and additional feet on the left side of the unit.
- The SC 1800 was first presented to the public at the 1984 Leipzig Autumn Fair, the SC 1800 S ????.
