  • The CD tray (Pioneer turntable) is made of metal, thus less vibration and more torsion-resistant
  • Copper screws were used on the outside for better shielding
  • Digital-out crossover at the rear of the unit. This allows a transducer unit that is not needed to be switched off.

Remarks[edit]

  • Predecessor model: none

  • The device has its own remote control, somewhat small, CU-PD075
  • Direct selection of tracks only via remote control
  • As a CD player, the device was not as praised as as a CD recorder, so the rating in the Hifi magazine AUDIO (see below) is also only "upper class".

First CD recorder ever on the market in the consumer sector (not the professional sector). Analogue recording works manually (until 1998 the only device that could do this). Audio CDRW can not yet be written. Without tuning can be burned as with all devices of this time only audio CD-R (which is still available in 2019, however, in the trade).
