Pioneer digital direct decoder type in: Excellent characteristics due to digital signal processing with direct conversion of the frequency modulated IF in the stereo channel components. High impurity spacing due to detector with phase-locked loop (PLL).
Resonance-damping design: The honeycomb-reinforced chassis, resin-filled oscillator module, and large damper feet improve sound quality by effectively damping impact noise.
Fixed station presets for 24 FM/MW stations: Easy memory entry and recall at the touch of a button.
Timer preset: Up to three stations can be preset for timer-switched recording (timer not included).
Switchable muting threshold: Three response thresholds are available for muting inter-station noise.
Switchable bandwidth: WIDE for high quality reception with clean reception, NARROW for increased selectivity when interference is present.
Test tone generator: for measuring the recording level when recording to tape
