- The A-838 was an integrated amplifier of the large Pioneer series of the late 1980s and early 1990s, i.e. models A-6xx to A-8xx. Its audio was based on the A-858, plus the A-838 had a video section with S-Video and composite connections, like the previous A-717V. Furthermore, it had a high gloss front and fine wood veneered wooden side panels, similar to the Urushi series. Unfortunately, it's hard to find a used one in Germany.
