- "... visually, Ortofon's No. 2 is rather inconspicuous: an unadorned black plastic housing houses an MC generator as well as an aluminum needle carrier that carries an expensive Super Fine Line needle. In terms of sound, the No. 2 was all the more striking - and exclusively positive: it sounded wonderfully airy, clear and rich in detail, yet completely unobtrusive and, above all, very clean and tonally balanced. A superior all-round pickup."
