OTL

OTL means "Output Transformer Less" (output without output transformer) and is a design of tube power amplifiers, which are usually characterized by particularly good sound. In contrast to all other designs, this one comes, as the name already says without Output Transformer. This is usually necessary because tubes deliver a lot of voltage but little current, and speakers need a lot of current and relatively little voltage.
