Reports[edit]
- Rainer Kruse at hifi-classic-reparatur.de (April 2, 2014), see also link below:
"The stasis circuit developed by Threshold, guarantor for load stable power supply in the low impedance power range, worked in the well-known power amplifiers, and in the flat receivers!
The SR-2,3 and 4 receivers, SR-4 remote controllable, had a good sounding phono section (the 2 unfortunately only MM) and of course an excellent tuner built in.
Soundwise these parts tend to a natural, rather deep and wide, than high stage. ... At the same time, the parts still look chic and are well adjustable, just no debris.
Today, after more than 20 years, if you get your hands on a semi-maintained unit, they run flawlessly. A manufacturing quality that the Europeans and Americans were running after!"
