• For this new top pickup from Luxman there is only sparse information in English. The manual is only available in Japanese. However, All-Akustik, the distributor of Luxman products, will undoubtedly ensure that a German-language manual is supplied as soon as the LMC-l goes on sale. At least the Japanese booklet contains the schematic shown in the picture below.

The magnetic field lines always run from the north poles to the south poles and therefore cross the coil sitting on the needle carrier. The manufacturer promises an absolutely discolouration-free reproduction. The needle carrier is obviously a diamond or sapphire solid bar (Fig. p. 218). The stylus consists of a crystal-oriented rod with a square cross-section and an edge length of 0.12 mm, the tip of which is specially elliptically ground (semi-contact-line). With 5.1g, this extremely lightweight unit is said to cost around DM 750.
