KS Kücke
Company profile[edit]
W. Kücke & Co. GmbH, later also known as KS Electronic (KS: Kücke & Schmitz) Kücke & Co. GmbH. This company developed exclusive hi-fi electronics in the 70s and 80s in almost perfect studio technology. Winfried Kücke was in charge of the commercial part and Friedrich Schmitz took care of the technical development.
In the 1980s, ASC began to sell Kücke's components under its own name and finally took over sole distribution of KS-Elektronik in 1982 (Audio 4/82). In 1984, Kücke's production period (stereo) came to an end and ASC now also took over the production of the former KS equipment.
Kücke's loudspeaker production was continued by Audio-Team (KS-Audio Team). Winfried Kücke tried at the end of the eighties together with Stefan Brocksieper (> EarMax headphone amplifier) with the company Music Components GmbH to re-enter as a high-end manufacturer (Stereo 10/87), but this seems to have left few traces.
Today, the Kücke devices are serviced by the company Schilder-Klar [1] in Wuppertal, which Winfried Kücke runs together with his son.
