Audioengineer/designer Michael Grace originally started out in 1990 making one-offs and custom gear for a small number of engineers and artists. In a short time, word spread that his custom microphone preamp designs outshone all alternatives. Due to the ever growing demand for his preamps, he founded Grace Design in 1994 and began mass producing the original model 801 microphone preamplifier. This not only asked for a new level of audio performance and functionality, but also helped establish the use of outboard microphone preamps and direct-to-tape recording.
Over the years, Grace Design has continued to develop new products and technologies. The product line has now evolved into a comprehensive selection of various preamp configurations, monitor controllers, channel strips, hi end mic mounts and other unique audio products. While the pro audio industry is flooded with technically obsolete products, Grace Design wants to give professionals the best tools possible.
Based in Boulder, Colorado, Grace Design continues its mission into the next millennium. As the company grows, Grace Design continues to improve its production methods to make them more accurate, efficient, and environmentally friendly. The employees are like part of one big family and even business relationships are traded more on a friendly basis. Above all else, the passion and drive that led to the company's founding is - the love of music.
