Company profile[edit]

ELP-Laserplattenspieler (LT-2XA) und RME Fireface 800 Sanju Chiba, founder of ELP Corporation acquired the patent as well as the exclusive marketing rights of the laser turntable developed by Final Technologies in the 1980s in 1989. The first customer was the National Library of Canada in 1991. In 1997, the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. ordered the first LT-1XA, predecessor to the LT-2XA, which plays all standard record formats from 7" to 12" (30-90 rpm). In 2011, production numbers reached 1800 units.
