Under the headline "5 Anlagen im Praxistest - Wie gut sind die Deutschen?" (5 systems in a practical test - How good are the Germans?), a Dual system consisting of the CT 1450, the amplifier CV 1450, the cassette deck C 828 and the record player CS 731 Q MC was tested, among others. The rating for the tuner is

Equipment: satisfactory to good price-performance ratio: satisfactory to good In the conclusion it is called: "other Tuner supply for the price clearly better results". This is especially related to the reception performance.
Personal experience:
In the author's experience, the Dual CT 1450 is a very reliable unit. It has been running for 30 years without any problems. Only the support battery for the station memory has been "flat" for a few years.
