The following three price levels refer to devices for collectors.
A note on restored devices follows below.

The information is of course not legally binding, but intended as a guideline.
Everyone can pay or demand the price that seems appropriate to him.
The rest is regulated by the "free market economy".

Stage A

'Technically and optically almost as good as new devices'
The devices of this rating level must have a flawless appearance and a technically optimal condition - they do not have to be brand new.
The technical condition of the equipment must be clearly functional, its individual parts or assemblies must be in their original condition. This also means that any defective parts or assemblies have been replaced by the use of original spare parts.
All original documents should be available.

Stage B

'Technically functional devices with slight traces of use'
The slightly visible traces of use are only on the surface of the plastic, lacquer or wood veneer surfaces as well as Plexiglas-

and metal surfaces.
These marks should clearly correspond to light signs of care and use. The lettering on the frequently used controls, switches or buttons should still be largely intact in letter or number imprint.
The technical condition of the device must be clearly functional, its individual parts or assemblies must be in their original condition. This also means that any defective components or assemblies have been replaced by using original spare parts.

Stage C

'Technically functioning devices with clearly visible signs of use'
These are devices that have been operated or used with greater stress. The signs of use are varied and often visible. The surfaces also show dulling in places.
The inscriptions on the most frequently operated controls show defective letters and number imprints.
Technically, the devices should function and be in their original condition.

Restored devices

For the rating levels it was assumed that the devices are m original condition. This means they should not have been repainted or reprinted. Even if the repainted color matches the original color, the unit is still not considered to be in original condition.
The list omits further condition groups of those devices that show severe damage and for which extensive restorations have been carried out. Even if these devices look almost as good as new after restoration and often function very well, they are not in their original condition and therefore cannot be assigned to valuation levels A, B or C. The seller of such a device is obliged to ensure that the device is in its original condition. The seller of such a device is obliged to inform the purchaser of the restoration work and not to let him believe that he has acquired a device of level A "technically and visually as good as new".
Restoration work carried out can be very clearly seen by experts in the technical or optical area of the device.
However, there are many people who are looking for an instrument who will accept a restoration that has been carried out professionally and who will also pay the asking price.
