- Professional FR4 printed circuit board with fabric inlay
Remarks[edit]
- Improved version of the P100 stereo power amplifier with optimized layout and RF immunity.
- There are 2 variants of the P101 in protection class I
- Beginning of the 90s with country of manufacture "Made in England" on the backside
- Mid 90's without country of manufacture indication on the rear panel, where the following modifications were made.
- Modified inner chassis with mechanically optimised transformer mountings
- Toroidal transformer with double output windings connected in parallel. --> less mechanical transformer hum
- Reduced base current (bias current) of the output stage transistors approx. 65mA/140mV (old 95mA/210mV) --> less heating up
- pre-driver stage with modified temperature compensation
- modified RC element for compensation of the oscillation tendency
- The P101 Made in England can be converted to the new version by component modifications.
Later also available as CE version with protection class II insulation, i.e. without 3rd earth connection in the IEC connector.
