Short description[edit]

The Zirke speaker is based on the design of the "Walsh" driver (most famous speaker was the OHM F). This is a bending wave transducer. In contrast to "normal" loudspeaker drivers, the otherwise undesired partial vibrations of the loudspeaker chassis are used to produce sound. Impressive sound behaviour with small combos, vibraphone, triangle and percussion. Critical with opera vocals (tremolos). Here the "distorted" overtones, which are also audible on conventional loudspeakers, are brought out supernaturally strongly. Due to the spatial dispersion of the sound, the loudness at higher volumes can be described as pleasant (recommended for noise-sensitive neighbours).
