Company profile[edit]

Formerly part of Heco Hennel und Co GmbH, Schmitten, the Berlin branch became independent under the brand name Visonik as Heco Hennel & Co KG after the sale of the West German parent company to the Rank Organisation in about 1974, distribution was handled by Hamburg-based Dahl Elektronik. In 1975 Visonik launched the small hi-fi speaker DAVID with great success, the product range was extended by 3 larger compact speakers of the DAVID series. After liquidity problems of the Dahl AG, the Berlin factory went bankrupt in 1979 and was taken over by the Bruhns AG, which continued the business with hi-fi loudspeakers for some years. Around the mid-1980s, the steadily declining production was discontinued and the brand name was sold.
