Have really a problem with my super nice Dynaudios. Start simply times. I bought them 8 years ago as MSP 400 according to the previous owner (unfortunately deceased in the meantime). When I then looked into the matter last month, I had to find out that according to the type plate of the original MSP 400, all the cabinet masses are not correct. Optically it looks exactly the same. 76 x 40 x 46 HxWxD. Mine have the dimensions of 93,5 x 40 x 36 .

The drivers are exactly the same: T= 30W54, M= 54 mm, H= 21 mm. Two Vario Vents or whatever they are called are mounted in the upper part. Like the screw terminals made of brass.... never seen them anywhere... Can any of you tell me what kind of things I have there. Can also upload photos if desired. Am getting desperate. Home made is out of the question, or it must have been a genius. Crossover also original Dynaudio.

Fange einfach mal an. 76 x 40 x 46 HxBxT. Meine haben die Maße von 93,5 x 40 x 36 .

The inquiry with Dynaudio directly resulted in nothing. They suspect themselves, that they could be prototypes, which were never produced in series. They were sold to employees...whether I should believe all this ?????.

Maybe someone here knows.

:: The prototype approach might not be that unlikely, unless there were different versions of the 400 (MkI, MkII). Terminals like to be swapped for higher quality ones, but if it's the ones in the picture/link, that doesn't fit either, but more likely prototype.

Hello and greetings to you all.

The inquiry with Dynaudio directly resulted in nothing. They suspect themselves, that they could be prototypes, which were never produced in series. They were sold to employees...whether I should believe all this ?????. Maybe someone here knows.

The prototype approach might not be that unlikely, unless there were different versions of the 400 (MkI, MkII). Terminals like to be swapped for higher quality ones, but if it's the ones in the picture/link, that doesn't fit either, but more likely prototype.
If they sound good, the whole thing is rather academic, isn't it? VG, --Analoghatwas (Discussion) 09:43, 18 Jul 2020 (CEST)
