What's that all about?
Take off the cover and look closely: The bass reflex tube has a grille that is flocked just like the baffle. Therefore you can only see the bass reflex port if you look very closely!
This description applies exactly to the Karat 960 (and 980), which is a bass reflex speaker. The Karat 60 is and always has been a sealed cabinet. It can be inspected at my place! I have searched my Canton Karat 60 meticulously again for the grille - without success. But the grille definitely exists on the Karat 980 bass reflex speaker!
I just find it strange that it says bass reflex in the brochure.

Now that the puzzle is solved, I've adjusted the dates of the Karat 20/30/40 and 60.
