Class G technology reduces power dissipation in the power stage without sonic drawbacks, allowing the design of very high power amplifiers. Class G is widely used in stage and professional music today.
 
 
 
* The HMA-8300 power amplifier is built with bipolar (!) power transistors, which accommodates Class G technology. Hitachi developed and released 'Power MOSFET' transistors in amplifiers at about the same time, but did not use these power transistors in Class G circuits. The HMA-7500, HMA-7500 MkII or HMA-8500 MkII series of power amplifiers and others are built with Hitachi's 'Power MOSFET' power transistors.
