An overview of the possibilities and functions of the wiki software can be found in the Wikipedia Help. Anyone who has never created an article in a wiki should read the corresponding introductions there. Most of the information also applies to the Hifi-Wiki.

Text blocks
Text blocks are used to mark articles and assign them to a specific category.
- If you find an article that is not finished or that seems improvable, you can mark it with this block. This is useful, for example, if you don’t have the time or inclination to edit the article accordingly. The marked articles are then listed in the category Braucht Arbeit.
- This block can be used to propose articles for deletion.
Usage
Insert Braucht Arbeit or
at the very top of the affected page.
Images
The images should be self-created and not linked from external homepages (or manufacturer pages). Some manufacturers have kindly granted us permission to use official product images. Further use of these images (e.g., on eBay) is not permitted in this case! These images must also be uploaded separately.
The images can now be uploaded on the image upload page and then embedded in articles as described on the same page.
- To search for and view already uploaded images, go to the list of uploaded images.
- To use an uploaded image in an article, write:
bild:filename.jpg or Description
PDF files
You can also upload PDF files (e.g., user manuals). To link an uploaded PDF file, enter the following in the corresponding article:
or
