hörbert works with a memory card. On the included 4GB card it has space for about 17 hours of content. With the included or on the website downloadable software 9 playlists can be created, which can be navigated with the nine colorful buttons. If you press a button, the playlist starts. If you press it again, you jump to the next song and select the song you want to listen to. The bottom two buttons are for audible fast forward (right) and jump back to the beginning of the song (left). This simple operating concept allows children to listen independently and thus to decide all by themselves what they want to listen to and when.

hörbert funktioniert mit einer Speicherkarte. Auf der mitgelieferten 4GB Karte hat es Platz für ca. 17 Stunden Inhalt. Durch die mitgelieferte bzw. auf der Website downloadbare Software können 9 Playlists angelegt werden, die man über die neun bunten Knöpfe navigieren kann. Drückt man auf einen Knopf, startet die Playlist. Drückt man erneut darauf, springt man zum nächsten Lied und wählt so das Lied aus, das man hören möchte. Die unteren zwei Knöpfe sind zum hörbaren Vorspulen (rechts) und zurück springen zum Liedanfang (links). Dieses einfache Bedienkonzept ermöglicht Kindern selbstständiges hören und somit die Möglichkeit, ganz allein zu entscheiden, was sie wann hören möchten.
