Remarks

  • based on MDS-JE 700, the predecessor model, but has no toroidal transformer, but 3 digital sound filters.
  • Like the other units of the JB-series, the sheet metal is stronger than on JE-units, screwed together with a total of 7 screws (2 on the top).
  • Apparently only one model in black was available in Europe. Who wanted the silver model, had to reach for the JB 930 QS.
  • Other models in the same series:
    • Sony MDS-JB 930 QS (great similarity in construction, same drive, but the 9 series model has, for example, a connector socket for a keyboard).
    • Sony MDS-JE 530
