Remarks

  • Other models of the same series:
  • The unit is similar in many ways, including dimensions, to its predecessor, the DCD-510 AE. The most notable difference is the lack of a headphone output on the DCD-520 AE and a new converter, which also comes from Burr Brown (see above). According to Audio magazine, however, everything has been retuned (Audio 8/2012).
  • Previous model: Denon DCD-510 AE
  • Successor model: none yet (as of 3/2018).
  • The remote control is matched in color to the models: Silver and Black. It is quite clear and easy to use - the larger model Denon DCD-720 AE also has it.

The equipment was tuned for the European market musically - soundwise extra - Denon refers several times to it (product sheet among other things)
