Yamaha NX-A01
This speaker cube squares the circle: the NX-A01 gets big sound out of a surprisingly small enclosure. With an edge length of less than nine centimetres, the NX-A01 fits in the palm of your hand. It fits on any bedside table and can be taken anywhere good music playback is required. It performs just as convincingly as a PC speaker as it does when teamed with a portable audio player: simply plug it in and connect the 3.5mm jack to the music source, and you're done. The ring-shaped button panel on the top of the cube is self-explanatory. It switches the active speaker on, off or mute and intuitively controls the volume.
