"Two ways with integrated sub bass. The task of achieving the smallest possible sound radiation field for phase-correct reproduction was achieved with small speakers. From 80 Hz the visible midrange speaker transmits with a wide dispersion angle up to high frequencies, beyond that the fabric dome tweeter takes over without acoustically relevant phase rotation. The subchassis, from 40 Hz -1 dB, is radiated via two reflex channels, close to the sound centre, fed by a chassis of the same size as the midrange driver. This allows a very narrow cabinet with all the advantages of a spatially correct imaging without the often common lack of low bass."

The Art Audiophile directe was introduced at the 1991 Funkausstellung and appeared again in the catalogue for the 1993 show, but was built in a small run of only about ten pairs.
