Company profile

The company was founded in 1983 in Nordenham at the Weser estuary. Abacus develops industrial electronics, measurement and control technology, electromechanics and power electronics. Under the registered trademark ABACUS, development, production, distribution, export of audio products takes place. Abacus is known for a transistor amplifier, which works similar to the classic tube as a "transconductance amplifier" - but with 100% negative feedback. Owner and managing director is Karl-Heinz Sonder.
